again the morning light
passing through
another day and then
passing through

fallen into

silence, within the raven's

arrested flight

misty stream--
  upon a fallen leaf
this floating world

tiny sparrows
arcing through

sound of high grass

a starved mouth
against the wind/
strong red wine

skylark
rising even so;
dusk

last bells toll
an empty field-- now
windswept by children

lofty thoughts
borne unto the wind--
scattered birds
